Last year we reported that we were printing the interior pages of our calendars on 100% post-consumer recycled waste paper, processed chlorine free. We have had to amend that statement after an independent audit revealed that it was not correct. We are still printing on the same paper as last year, but after the audit the grade of the paper we are using has changed to 100% recycled, 54% post-consumer waste, and processed elemental chlorine free. Since the paper contains fiber from magazines that were printed but not sold, according to strict standards it cannot be considered 100% post-consumer waste.

We are striving to find the most environmental friendly paper possible and we will continue to do so. Please know that the paper we are using is still the greenest paper available for the type of high-gloss coated paper that we use for our calendars.

The estimated environmental benefit of using this paper is that it will save:

• 516,766 gallons of water
  
• 981 million BTU's of energy
  
• 157,633 pounds of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases
  
• 85,501 pounds of solid waste

We continue to take steps not only to reduce the environmental impact of our business, but to offset that impact as well. In 2008 we will plant 50,000 trees in our efforts to give something back to the planet and to future generations. In addition, we more than offset our carbon footprint with donations to NativeEnergy. Our hope is that other calendar and book publishers will join in these efforts.
